_Why is NOLA Mad Dash being held?
NOLA Mad Dash is a fundraiser to help the students of Hope Christian Church attend summer camp. NOLA Mad Dash also fosters relationships, a fun competitive spirit and the discovery of our great city of New Orleans.
How can I participate in NOLA Mad Dash?
Register and pay by 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2013.
Race Details & Rules
-$30 per team to register and participate. (2 people per team)
-Minimum participant age is 12. Participants 12-15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult 21 or older in order to participate.
-No refunds available, but registrations are transferable.
-NOLA Mad Dash will NOT be cancelled due to weather.
-Racers are only permitted to travel on race day by foot, streetcar or bus. Bikes, taxis and other forms of motorized or wheeled transportation are prohibited.
-Racers are expected to follow all public laws, rules of the race and play with integrity. Racers caught cheating will be disqualified.
-Each race team is responsible to provide their own digital camera for race documentation, minimum 5 MP digital camera required or smart phone equivalent.
-Racers are permitted to “phone a friend” for help during the race.
-NOLA Mad Dash begins at 10:00 am at Hope Christian Church, located at 5320 Canal Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124.
-Racers must cross the finish line by 3:00 pm in order to have points counted and qualify for prizes.
-Racers may choose to skip challenges.
-Bonus points may be earned by having one of the top ten completion times. Bonus points will be awarded as follows: 1st earns 10,000; 2nd earns 9,000; 3rd earns 8,000; 4th earns 7,000; 5th earns 6,000; 6th earns 5,000; 7th earns 4,000; 8th earns 3,000; 9th earns 2,000; 10th earns 1,000
Required Race Day Supplies:
-$6.00 per team to purchase All-Day RTA Pass
-Minimum of 5 MP Digital camera or smart phone equivalent
Recommended Race Day Supplies:
-cell phone, water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, backpack
